Reports for Agenda Item C 2 .
Good evening Honorable Mayor Moreno and Council Members, my name is Ron Krall, I’m the CEO of North
County Recycling and Compost a locally owned and operated facilities located in Paso Robles and Creston , CA.
As you continue to develop plans and ordinances to comply with SB1383 procurement requirements, Cal Green
and MWELO, North County Recycling and Compost has been preparing for SB1383 and expanding our ability to
support with recycled SB1383 compliant post-consumer organic products of compost, mulch, soil amendments
and wood chips sourced, locally processed and recycled back into our local community.
North County Recycling and Compost recycles 100% of our processed Food/Organic Green Waste and over 80% of
our processed Construction and Demolition (C&D) material and can positively support your Cal Green and SB1383
Ordinances with diversion, documentation and reporting.
We have over 250+ tons per day of available capacity for use in complying with the SB1383 requirements, greatly
reducing transportation costs and trucking distance, ultimately lowering the carbon footprint for all involved and
assisting the City in procuring the target of 2,369.8 tons per year.
Also we have invested recently in solar power at both facilities and in the final stages of a multimillion dollar
facility expansion to better serve our North County neighbors.
I look forward to any questions and working with all as we navigate the SB1383 rollout and build our
Circular Economy, with a focus on cultivating a successful path for all.
