A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE MAP BY INCLUDING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT 6009 AND 6010 DEL
RIO ROAD AND 2000 RAMONA ROAD WITHIN THE URBAN SERVICES LINE
(GPA #95011: City Initiated)
WHEREAS, the City of Atascadero has grown considerably since
incorporation; and
WHEREAS, the City' s General Plan, which was 'prepared in the
1970 ' s, adopted in 1980, and amended in 1992 to guide the City' s
general growth is in need of updating; and
WHEREAS; the Planning Commission of the City of Atascadero
conducted a public hearing on the subject amendment on April 16,
1996; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 65356 provides that a
General Plan be amended by the adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Atascadero finds as
follows :
1 . The proposed General Plan Amendment is consistent with
the goals and policies of the General Plan.
2 . The proposed General Pian Amendment will not have a
significant adverse affect on the environment. The
Negative Declaration prepared for the project is
adequate.
3 . The proposed extension of the Urban Services Line will
notoverburdenthe City's sewer plant or collection
system and will not adversely affect sewer service to
other priority areas, specifically cease and desist
locations.
THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Atascadero does
resolve to approve General Plan Amendment GPA #95011 as follows :
1 . Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Element, Land
Use Map as shown on the attached "Exhibit A" .

On motion by Councilmember Johnson and seconded by Council-
member Bewley , the foregoing resolution is hereby
adopted in its entirety by the following roll call vote:
AYES : Councilmembers Bewley, Johnson and Mayor Highland
NOES : Councilmember Luna
ABSENT: Councilmember Carden
