RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE CORRIDOR
BETWEEN THE HIGH SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
A "DRUG FREE ZONE"
The City Council of the City of Atascadero, California, hereby
resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, creating a safe, healthy environment in the area
surrounding the Schools is a top priority; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish policies and procedures
for the enforcement of existing laws pertaining to activities
surrounding Schools; and
WHEREAS, creating a "Drug Free Zone" is a model program known
to be effective; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Schools and the Community can work
together to support a "Drug Free Zone" in Atascadero.
On motion by Councilperson Luna and
seconded by Councilperson Tc)hn.nn , the
foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the
following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Bewley, Carden, Johnson, Luna and Mayor Highland
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
