I have absolutely no objections to this plan. San Luis Obispo County and particularly Atascadero is in dire need of "affordable" housing. The California Manor helps with this problem and hopefully, the new units will be priced similarly with the same criteria. I hope this project is approved and that construction can begin soon. There are existing oak trees on the north and east property lines between California Manor and Ranch Del Bordo Mobile Home Estates (10025 EI Camino Real). The trees are on California Manor property behind the boundary fencing. Several of the trees are quite large with large limbs overhanging homes in the mobile park. These limbs due to their height can only be accessed for trimming from the California Manor property. (hopefully for safety reasons the trimming can be done soon). It is hoped that any development on the California Manor property would not restrict access by tree trimming companies that might have to bring in trucks or cranes to trim the trees and keep them trimmed. Also, I am not sure if California Manor is responsible for the wooden boundary fence adjoining Ranch del Bordo, but the fencing needs some repairs and some of the main posts in the ground appear to have rot. Perhaps a new boundary fence could be included with the proposed housing expansion project. Thank you for your time and consideration. If approved how many stories will be built? I have deep concerns over privacy issues this close to my house. Not too mention changing my view from these beautiful trees to viewing the back of a building/apartment. 2. Are the Oak trees and the other trees in place FULLY protected from being removed? Again from the standpoint of privacy, beauty and shade protection from intense summer sun. The thought of losing the beauty of the view, privacy, and major shade protection is a very concerning and displeasing thought. 3. Will there be lighting put up that would then shine into our homes? 4. If approved how long will construction take? I am very concerned about loud, lengthy, continuous noise pollution as well as dirt and dust issues. 5. Where will parking be placed? 6. Are there any other vacant lot/properties in Atascadero being considered for this project? One of the reasons I purchased this particular home after looking at others is because I was told by the Realtor and the Seller that no one could build on the open space behind me.
