RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO, CALIFORNIA, CORRECTING THE
BALLOT FOR THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON JUNE 7, 1994
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Atascadero did, on February 8,
1994, adopt Resolution No. 07-94 calling a General Municipal Election to be held on
June 7, 1994 for the purpose of electing two members of the City Council, one city
Clerk and one City Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the same date, adopt Resolution No. 08-94
requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo to consolidate
the Election with the Statewide Primary Election to be held on June 7, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Atascadero filed a certified copy of the
above-mentioned resolutions with the County Clerk's Office on February 24, 1994;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Atascadero did file with the San Luis
Obispo County Elections Department a certified list of candidates and their
designations for the June 7, 1994 Regular Municipal Election on March 18, 1994, in
accordance with Section 23302 of the State Elections Code; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there are clerical errors and omissions
on the list of candidates filed with the County Elections Department creating the need
for revisions.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Atascadero as follows:
SECTION 1 . The County Elections Department is requested to amend the City
of Atascadero Ballot for the June 7, 1994 Election as outlined in Exhibit "A" attached
to this resolution.
SECTION 2. The City of Atascadero agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the
County of San Luis Obispo, its' officials, officers and employees for any costs, in
addition to normal costs, for making the changes set forth in this resolution. In
addition, the City will pay for the costs of defending, on behalf of the City and the
County, any legal action brought challenging this resolution and the County's
compliance with the request set forth in this resolution.

On motion by Councilperson Luna and seconded by Councilperson Borges9n
the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Borgeson, Luna and Mayor Nimmo
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Bewley
