A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE MAP OF
THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN
(GPA #92004: CITY OF ATASCADERO)
WHEREAS, the City of Atascadero adopted an updated General
Plan Land Use Element in 1992 subsequent a comprehensive review;
and
WHEREAS, the City's newly adopted General Plan Land Use Map
designated real property for Public use purposes at 4500 Del Rio
Road at the request of the Atascadero Unified School District; and
WHEREAS, the City has initiated a Land Use Map Amendment on
behalf of the property owners and with the consent of the School
District to reestablish the Suburban Single Family Land Use
Designation to said real property; and
WHEREAS, the Government Code Section 65356 provides that a
General Plan be amended by the adoption of a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Atascadero did
review and consider the subject amendment during a public hearing
on October 20, 1992, and recommended to the City Council the
amendment be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Atascadero finds as
follows:
1. The proposed General Plan amendment is consistent with
thegoalsand policies of the General Plan.
2. The proposed General Plan amendment will not have a
significant adverse effect on the environment. The
Negative Declaration prepared for this project is
adequate.
THEREFORE, the City of Atascadero does resolve to approve
General Plan Amendment #92-004, an amendment to the General Plan
Land Use Element, Land Use Map as shown on the attached "Exhibit
A• It
On motion by Councilmember Kudlac and seconded by
Councilmember Luna, the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted in
its entirety by the following roll call vote:
