RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ATASCADERO ESTABLISHING A 30 MPH SPEED ON
GRAVES CREEK ROAD FROM MONTEREY ROAD TO SAN FERNANDO ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 4-2.501, et. sea, of the Atascadero
Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer, through an
engineering and traffic survey, to determine the appropriate speed
limit for streets within the City; and
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey conducted by the
Atascadero Police Department determined that the appropriate and
safe speed is 30 miles per hour ( "MPH" ) on Graves Creek Road from
Montrey road to San Fernando Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero
directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and maintain appropriate
signs or markings to indicate a 30 MPH speed limit on Graves Creek
Road from Monterey Road to San Fernando Road.
On motion by Councilman Dexter and seconded by Councilman
Borgeson, the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its
entirety on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Nimmo, Lilley, Borgeson, Dexter and Mayor
Shiers
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
