RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL
APPOINTING TWO (2) MEMBERS TO THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, due to expiring terms, two (2) vacancies have
occurred on the City Parks & Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No . 101
relating to the establishment of a City Parks & Recreation
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No . 205
amending Section 2-13.05 of the Atascadero Municipal Code as it
relates to termination requirements and has adopted Ordinance No .
209 amending Sections 2-13.02 and 2-13-11 of the Atascadero
Municipal Code reducing the number of members on the Commission
from seven to five; and
WHEREAS, public advertisements soliciting interest in
appointment to the Parks & Recreation Commission have been
published and posted; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk did receive eight (8) applications
for consideration; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did , on August 30, 1990, interview
and consider Leven candidates for appointment to the Parks &
Recreation Commission and did then vote for specific nominations.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does resolve to appoint
Diana Cooper and Andrpa Snhiil to for
terms of four years, expiring on June 30, 1994.
On motion by Councilperson Dexter and seconded by
Councilperson Nimmo , the foregoing resolution is hereby
adopted in its entirety by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Shiers, Borgeson, Nimmo, Dexter and Mayor Lilley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
