RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO ACCEPTING THE ROADS
KNOWN AS CHANDLER RANCH (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT No . 5)
INTO THE CITY STREET SYSTEM
WHEREAS, greater than 60% of the property owners in the
area known as Chandler Ranch petitioned the City to provide
an assessment district for the purpose of reconstructing and
resurfacing the roads in that area ; and
WHEREAS, the owners' incentive to form such assessment
district was to bring the roads up to a standard that would
be acceptable to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has made a policy to accept any roads
for maintenance that were platted as part of the Atascadero
Colony once such roads are brought up to acceptable City
standards ; and
WHEREAS, Assessment District No . 5 has been formed and
construction is complete; and
WHEREAS, the roads in the said Chandler Ranch area are
contiguous to a City-Maintained street (s) ; and
WHEREAS, the Chandler Ranch owners have previously
requested that Council forgo the one-year warranty period;
and
WHEREAS, the Contractor is responsible for any repairs
in connection with his work for a period of one year after
final inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the roads in the said Chandler Ranch area have
been improved to a standard acceptable to the City .
The Council of the City of Atascadero resolves as
follows ;
1 . Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1806 of the
California Streets and Highways Code, the following streets
are hereby accepted for maintenance into the City street
system, contingent upon the 30 day waiting period after the
filing of the Certificate of Completion .
Chandler Ranch streets as included in Assessment
District No . 5 (Refer to Exhibit A)

On motion by Councilmember Mackey and seconded by
Councilmember Borgeson , the Atascadero City Council
hereby adopts the foregoing resolution in its entirety on
the following roll call vote :
AYES : Councilmembers Mackey, Borgeson, Lilley, Shiers and Mayor Dexter
NOES : None
ABSENT : None
ADOPTED: 6-27-89
