HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 43-89 RESOLUTION NO. 43-89 A RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING COUNCIL POLICY RELATING TO PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS REVIEW WHEREAS, Councilmembers as individuals are often requested to review and discuss a development project prior to its submit- tal as an application, or as part of an application but prior to its setting for hearing before the Council; and WHEREAS, in an effort to maximize the objectivity and con- sistency of information provided to Councilmembers when invited as individuals to review proposed projects, the following policy shall be adopted and adhered to by Council : When invitations are extended by a developer and/or his or her representative, a Councilmember will request that such invitation be put in writing and extended to every member of Council . In this way, the entire Coun- cil will be afforded the same opportunity for input regarding any proposed development. On motion by Councilmember Mackey and seconded by Coun- cilmember Lilley , the foregoing resolution is hereby adopted on the following roll-call vote: AYES : Councilmembers Mackey, Lilley, Shiers, Borgeson and Mayor Dexter. SHARITZ, C110y Clerk APPROVED ,AS TO FORM: APPROVED AS TO CONTENT: EY G J kGENSEN, City Attorney NJJ, , City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 44-89 A RESOLUTION OF THE ATASCADERO CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR FOR COUNCIL AS THE POLICY-MAKING TEAM OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO WHEREAS, it is the expressed desire of the Council to foster harmonious, constructive and mutually respectful relations among and between its members and staff; and WHEREAS, in order to attempt to accomplish these goals, Council agrees to adopt and adhere to the following: 1 . Act with professionalism and integrity. 2 . To disagree agreeably in public meetings . 3 . Strive to increase communication within Council . 4 . To support, trust and strive to understand the Manager and staff , 5 . Not criticize Council members or staff in public , 6 . SHARITZ, Clerk APPROVED AS TO FORM: APPROVED AS TO CONTENT tAl C RE Qv7 J GENSEN, City Attorney RA DSOR, City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 45-89 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO DESIGNATING A STOP INTERSECTION ON CAYUCOS AVENUE AT VALDEZ AVENUE WHEREAS, Section 4-2 . 801 et seq, of the Atascadero Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to determine the location of STOP intersections , and to place and maintain appropriate signs or markings indicating the same; and WHEREAS, the Atascadero Traffic Committee has recommended that establishing a STOP intersection on Cayucos Avenue at the intersection with Valdez Avenue will improve a hazardous traffic situation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atascadero directs the City Traffic Engineer toplaceand maintain appropriate signs or markings indicating a STOP intersection at the location listed above . On motion by Councilwoman Mackey , and seconded by Councilwoman Borgesgithe foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call vote : AYES ; Councilmembers Lilley, Shiers, Borgeson, Mackey and Mayor Dexter NOES ; none ABSENfpe ADOPTED: 6-27-89 ATTEST : BOYD C .
