RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
SETTING THE CITY ' S LIABILITY
SELF-INSURANCE RETENTION AMOUNT AT $50,000
WHEREAS, as the City is a member of the Central Coast Joint
Powers Authority pool for liability purposes; and
WHEREAS, all cities in the JPA have had $100,000 self-
insurance retention funds; and
WHEREAS, eight of the member cities have been offered the
opportunity for a $50,000 self-insurance retention fund ; and
WHEREAS, the additional $50,000 of liability coverage can be
acquired through an insurance premium at a potential annual cost
savings to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Atascadero does adopt a self-insurance retention fund of
$50,000.
On motion by Councilperson Mackey and seconded
by Councilperson Shiers , the foregoing resolution is
hereby adopted in its entirety on thefollowingroll call votes:
AYES: Councilmembers Mackey, Shiers, Lilley, Dexter, and Mayor Borgeson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ADOPTED: June 28, 1988
