RESOLUTION NO 2-88
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATASCADERO
DESIGNATING A FIRE LANE AND LOADING ZONE IN THE ;ALLEY:
TO THE NORTH OF THE CARLTON HOTEL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, Sections 4-2 . 1201 and 4-2 . 1102 (g) et seq.
of the Atascadero Municipal Code allows the City Traffic
Engineer to determine the location of Loadings Zones and
to place and maintain appropriate signs or markings
indicating Loading Zones and Fire Lanes ; and
WHEREAS, The Traffic Committee has studied the traffic
situation at this location in response to citizen
complaints and has determined that the establishment of a
zone . for Loading Only and the creation of a Fire Lane will
alleviate the congestion in this alley and also allow for
access to emergency vehicles .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Atascadero directs the City Traffic Engineer to place and
maintain appropriate signs or markings indicating a loading
zone on the entire south side of the alley from Traffic Way
to Entrada Avenue and, a Fire Lane on the north side of the
alley from Traffic Way to the intersection with the
northerly alley, said Fire Lane to be 10' in width.
On Motion by Councilman BOURBEAU ,and seconded
by Councilman MACKEY ,the foregoing resolution is
hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS BORGESON, BOURBEAU, MACKEY AND MAYOR NORRIS
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMAN HANDSITY
