RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ATASCADERO REDUCING THE SPEED
LIMIT ON A PORTOLA ROAD BETWEEN LAKEVIEW AVENUE
AND ATASCADERO AVENUE
WHEREAS, Section 4 .2 .502 (b) of the Atascadero
Municipal Code allows the City Traffic Engineer to
determine the appropriate speed limit for streets within
the City of Atascadero; and
WHEREAS, the Atascadero Traffic Committee has
requested and received an Engineering Traffic Survey on
this section of Portola Road and it has been determined
that the appropriate speed at this location is 35 MPH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Atascadero directs the Traffic Engineer to cause the speed
limit on the above section of Portola Road to be reduced to
35 MPH.
On Motion by Councilman ]�Oui3boau ,and seconded
by Councilman Mackey ,the foregoing Resolution is
hereby adopted in its entirety on the following roll call
vote :
AYES : Councilmembers Mackey, Bourbeau, Handshy, and Mayor Pro Tem Borgeson
NOES : None
ABSENT : Mayor Barbara Norris
